Projects
Two live web apps I designed, built, tested, and deploy-maintain end to end.
Quote of the Times
A responsive web application that delivers inspirational and thought-provoking quotes through a clean, interactive interface. Built to strengthen front-end skills with JavaScript, JSON data, responsive design, and browser APIs — it evolved from a simple quote generator into a feature-rich app focused on usability and performance. It ships with a public Playwright testing framework that automates testing of every function to catch errors early in development.
Key Features
Random inspirational quotes every 10 seconds · Like button to save quotes for the session · Copy button for any quote · Alternate background views to match your mood
Challenges
Keeping the app consistent across browsers and mobile devices, plus troubleshooting caching and deployment issues (browser caching, Cloudflare caching, deployment configuration) to make sure users always got the latest version.
What's Next
Fetching quotes from a live REST API · a search function · a user-submitted quote review queue · filtering options · daily quote notifications as the user base grows
JS Utility Toolkit
A collection of interactive, web-based utilities designed to simplify common everyday tasks for developers and users. Built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, the project focuses on creating fast, responsive, and user-friendly tools while reinforcing core front-end development concepts.
Key Features
Interactive calculator for basic arithmetic · Text analyzer with word, character, and sentence statistics · Unit converter supporting multiple measurement types · JSON formatter for validating and formatting JSON · Modular JavaScript structure for maintainability
Challenges
Designing multiple independent tools while keeping the codebase organized and easy to maintain, handling user input safely, validating data, and keeping each utility consistent across browsers and screen sizes.
What's Next
Additional developer utilities (Base64 encoder/decoder, UUID generator, regex tester) · a save button for JSON output · more calculations in each section
